Intellectual Property Lifecycle Process Diagram

Concept

The IBM process for filing intellectual property is comprehensive by design, but not terribly intuitive for an inventor new to it.

To help demystify the process I developed an image that borrows from the 'subway map' genre and shows the flow of intellectual property from conception to filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Implementation

The diagram was created using Adobe Illustrator, and later incorporated into a variety presentations (by myself and others) about the IBM patent process.
